Georgia Coley Obituary

Georgia Ellen Coley, 74, of Ottawa, KS passed away Monday, August 5, 2024 at her home.  She was born June 28, 1950 in Artesia, New Mexico the daughter of George and Maureen (Freeman) Sitlington.  She grew up and attended schools in Roswell, New Mexico.

She was united in marriage to Billy Gene Coley on March 16, 1969 in Kansas City, Missouri. They shared over fifty-five years of marriage.

Georgia was homemaker and will be remembered as a beautiful soul who never complained.  She loved to crochet and cook for her family.  Not only did she raise her own children but she also raised and took care of other family members.

Mrs. Coley was preceded in death by her parents, George and Maureen Sitlington; a daughter, Michelle Wallace; and a son, Billy Allen Coley.

Surviving family includes her husband, Billy G. Coley of the home; a daughter, Kristy Coley of Ottawa, KS and son-in-law, Tyler Berger of Ottawa, KS; five grandchildren, Marion Matute` of South Bend, IN, Chanse Matute` of Topeka, KS, Miyah Coley of Topeka, KS, Gage Coley of Ottawa, KS and Ryan Wallace of Missouri; two great-granddaughters, Everly Rae Matute` of Topeka, KS and Ivy Elizabeth Wallace of Missouri. 

Cremation is planned. Memorial contributions may be made to the Arbor Day Foundation and Prairie Paws Animal Shelter and may be sent in c/o the Lamb-Roberts-Price Funeral Home, P.O. Box 14, Ottawa, KS 66067. Condolences may be sent to the family through www.lamb-roberts.com.
