Gerald Lee Crow, 89, of Auburn, Kansas died Sunday, July 3, 2022 at Homestead of Auburn in Auburn, KS. He was born February 17, 1933 in Carbondale, KS, the son of Kenneth and Neva (Harris) Crow. Gerald was a lifelong Wakarusa, KS resident graduating from Auburn High School with the class of 1951.
Gerald proudly served his country in the United States Army attaining the rank of Corporal. Gerald later served his country until 1961 in the Army Reserves.
Gerald worked for thirty-five years for Goodyear Tire, Topeka. He worked in several capacities over his professional career there beginning as a builder and remaining in some part of the tire production line throughout his time there. After his retirement Gerald became a full time farmer. He loved his “retirement” job and was always happy to be working in the fields.
On August 21, 1953, Gerald was united in marriage to Nancy A. Perry at the Wakarusa Presbyterian Church, Wakarusa, KS. They shared sixty-eight years of marriage.
Gerald is survived by his wife, Nancy Crow, Auburn, KS; two daughters, Gina Bringle and her husband, Kerry, Sugar Land, TX, Karen Crow and Beau Glenn, Wakarusa, KS; two grandsons, Troy Bringle and his wife, Amanda, Jason Bringle and his wife, Marilyn; and eight great grandchildren, Trent, Cole, Daisy, Wes, Grace, Rhett, Nell, and Kit.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Neva Crow and three brothers, John Crow, Ralph Crow, and Luke Carriger.
Graveside services will be 11:00 a.m., Friday, July 8, 2022 at Shawnee Center Cemetery, Wakarusa, KS.
