Ian Matheau Trego, 25, of Overbrook, KS passed away Wednesday, August 14, 2024 at the Lawrence Memorial Hospital, Lawrence, KS. He was born October 27, 1998 at Topeka, KS the son of Daniel Tillman and Amy (Reed) Tillman. Ian was a 2017graduate of Santa Fe Trail High School. After high school, Ian served in the United States Air Force as an Aircraft Hydraulic Systems Journeyman from 2017 to 2022.
He was united in marriage to Hailey Boland on October 30, 2020. From this union two children were born, a daughter, Adelyn and a son, Holden.
Ian was a Field Technician for B9 Technology Solutions in Overbrook, KS. He was a godly leader for his family and loved the Lord. Ian’s life revolved around his family. Whether it was chasing Adelyn around the yard or reading bedtime stories to Holden, he made every moment with his children count. Ian not only adored Hailey, but she was his whole world. His love was evident for her in the way he cherished and served her. He enjoyed being outdoors, shooting, fishing, riding his motorcycle, and playing cards. He was a selfless, compassionate, and joyful person who had a big heart for everyone. His kindness and infectious sense of humor touched everyone who had a privilege of knowing him.
He was preceded in death by a father, Daniel Tillman; father figure, Bruce Sisson; great-grandmother, Helen Moore; grandfather, Jose Pagan; grandfather, Jack Reed; grandfather, Paul Harman and grandfather, Paul Trego.
Surviving family includes his wife, Hailey Trego; daughter, Adelyn, and son, Holden; five sisters, Jordan Barr (Lane), Tori Trego, Hailey Daughty (Isiah), Alix Whitchley (Aaron), and Allena Walls (Chad); three brothers, Caleb Fleming, Zach Fleming (Kati), and Nathan Fleming (Megan); his brother-in-law, Bryce Boland (Olivia); five sisters-in-law, Asheley Phillips (Seth), Alexis Boland, Brooke Boland, Hannah Boland, and Lyla Boland; his mother, Amy Reed; his parents, Rex and Kandace Fleming; his in-laws, Shawn and Lynne Boland; his grandmother/mom, Cindy Trego; grandmother, Sharon Pagan; grandparents, Joe and Debbie Conner; grandparents, Robert and Karen Boland; grandparents, Les and Marilyn Kolman, and grandmother, Doris Harman, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.
A Memorial Service will be held 10 a.m. Thursday, August 22, 2024 at the Grace Community Church, 310 E. 8th Street, Overbrook, KS 66524. Inurnment with military honors will follow at the Overbrook Cemetery, Overbrook, KS.
