Isaiah Ferguson Obituary

With deep sorrow and immense love, we announce the passing of Isaiah Lee Ferguson, who left us far too soon on June 7th, 2025, at the age of 17.

Born in Olathe, Kansas, in 2007, Isaiah brought light and laughter into the world from the very beginning. A talented and passionate young man, Isaiah had a gift for music and a heart for sports. Entirely self-taught on piano at a young age, he went on to play clarinet, bass clarinet, trumpet, saxophone, and mellophone in both jazz and marching bands at Lawrence High School. His dedication to his craft and his joy in performing were evident to all who heard him.

Isaiah was also a gifted athlete, especially in track and field, where he excelled in javelin and proudly qualified for the state meet. He even recently found a love for bowling and planned to join the Lawrence High School bowling team this winter. He loved fishing at Mary’s Lake, cheering on the Kansas City Royals and Chiefs, and spending time with his friends—always bringing warmth, humor, and an easy sense of belonging.

His love extended to animals of all kinds, especially his beloved cats and reptiles. And no one could forget his fondness for Raising Cane’s chicken—a simple joy that always brought a smile to his face.

To those who knew Isaiah, he was truly one of a kind. Affectionately known as a “gentle giant”—a young man whose kindness, laughter, character and radiant presence made a lasting impact on everyone who knew him. He had the most beautiful curly hair and infectious smile. He loved his family and was the best big brother, always coaching and caring for his siblings.

He is lovingly survived by his parents, Amanda and Manuel Pino; his brothers, Liam, Gunner, and Landry; and his sister, Patsy. He is also survived by his grandparents, Dana and Brad Solomonson (Mema and Papa), Clayton Ferguson (Papa), and Theresa Garcia (Yaya), Kysiah, Monti and the Samuels family along with many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who cherished him deeply. Isaiah was preceded in death by his beloved Nana Norton.

Though his time with us was far too short, Isaiah’s life was full of meaning, love, and unforgettable memories. His light will continue to shine through the hearts of those who loved him.”
