Obituary

John Wade Couch, 56, of De Soto, Kansas, died in a car accident Wednesday, September 14, 2022 in De Soto, KS.

He was born August 18, 1966 in Kansas City, Missouri, the son of Gary James Couch, Sr. and Geneva Ann (McLean) Couch.  He grew up in De Soto and graduated from De Soto High School with the class of 1984.

John worked as an automotive mechanic in the Kansas City area.  He was blessed with a good work ethic as well as a good sense of humor.  His hobbies included guns, target shooting, and motorcycle riding.

He is survived by his father, Gary J. Couch, Sr., Olathe, KS; a brother, Gary J. Couch, Jr. and his wife, Teresa, Gardner, KS; three nephews, Kyle, Gabriel, and Dakota Couch; a niece, Samantha Couch; and his significant other, Peggy Cook and family.

John was preceded in death by his mother, Geneva Ann Couch; a sister, Kim Barker-Adler; and a brother, Charles Barker.
