Joyce A (Kehl) Adolph

Joyce A. Adolph, 83, of Burlingame, Kansas passed away Sunday, March 22, 2026 at Lexington Park Health and Rehab in Topeka, Kansas.  She was born May 11, 1942 in Steger, Illinois the daughter of Oscar Kehl and Margaret (Blank) Kehl.  She graduated from Chicago Heights High School in Chicago Heights, Illinois with the Class of 1960. 

Joyce was united in marriage to Everett Darwin Adolph on March 7, 1963 in Steger, Illinois. From this union three children were born, Karin, David and Darren. Joyce and Everett shared over sixty-two years of marriage before Everett’s passing on April 8, 2025.

Joyce was a homemaker and military wife that lived in California, Kansas, Spain, Florida and Virginia before moving to Holton, Kansas where she worked a short time at Willie’s Steak House before residing in Burlingame, Kansas. She enjoyed spending time with her family, camping and fishing. She also enjoyed crocheting and going out to eat.   Joyce and Everett were Over-the-Road Truck Drivers.  They enjoyed spending time together seeing the country and especially enjoyed going to Casino’s.

Joyce was preceded in death by her parents, Oscar and Margaret Kehl; her husband, Everett; brother and sister-in-law, Tom and Sylvia Kehl; sister and brother-in-law, Kay and Joe Gabrisko; brother and sister-in-law, Paul and Karen Kehl and a brother, Richard Kehl; a granddaughter, Mistina Robinson and a grandson, Brandon Adolph. 

Surviving family includes a daughter, Karin Medsker and husband Johnny of Burlingame, KS; two sons, David Adolph and wife, Jolene Matchie of Holton, KS and Darren “Charlie” Adolph and wife, Tiffany Dvorak of Granite City, IL; a sister, Yvonne Newquist and husband George of Monee, IL; a sister-in-law, Cheryl Anderson of Burlingame, KS; ten grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

To Celebrate Joyce’s Life, Graveside Services and Inurnment will be held 2 p.m. Friday, April 17, 2026 at the Ramskill Chapel, Burlingame Cemetery, 18092 N US 56 Hwy, Burlingame, KS 66413.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, American Diabetes Association or American Heart Association and sent in c/o the Lamb-Roberts-Price Funeral Home, P.O.
