Judy Williams

Judy Kathleen Williams, 81, of Ottawa, KS passed away Thursday, November 24, 2022 at Advent Health Hospital in Ottawa, Kansas.

She was born June 25, 1941 in Clovis, New Mexico the daughter of Claude and Lois (Penick) Gibson.  Judy grew up in Clovis, NM where she graduated from Clovis High School with the class of 1959.

On May 31, 1959, Judy was united in marriage to Phillip Williams in Clovis, New Mexico.  They shared 63 loving years of marriage together and lived in several Kansas cities: Winchester, Emporia, and Ottawa.

Judy and Phillip moved back to Ottawa, Kansas in 1973 later in 1980 they built a house out in the country, where she enjoyed gardening and sitting outside. She worked at King Radio/Bendix King/Honeywell as an electronic assembler starting in 1978. Judy worked in Ottawa and Lawrence until her retirement in 2003.  Judy and Phillip enjoyed traveling across the country on their motorcycle with friends. Judy enjoyed sewing, making blankets for family members, playing Bingo, camping, and playing games with family. She always enjoyed spending time with grand & great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Claude and Lois Gibson; two daughters, Brenda Williams and Linda Williams; four sisters, Yvonne Land, Mae Porter, Honey Metanski, and Rose Beck; a brother, Claude Gibson; and a granddaughter, Lindsay Kennedy.

She is survived by her husband, Phillip Williams of Olathe, KS; a daughter, Barbara Jo Wilks of Ottawa, KS; two sons, Jimmy Lee & Tanya Williams of Aurora, CO and Thomas Christopher & Nikohl Williams of Olathe, KS; 16 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren.

Memorial funeral services will be 3:00 p.m., Friday, December 9, 2022 at Lamb-Roberts-Price Funeral Home, Ottawa, KS.  Family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. to the service hour at the funeral home on Friday.  Memorial contributions may be made to Dementia Society of America and sent c/o Lamb-Roberts-Price Funeral Home, P.O.
