Kenneth "Kenny" E. Parsons, Jr.

Kenneth “Kenny” E. Parsons Jr., 48, of Baldwin City, KS passed away Sunday, January 1, 2022 at his home. 

He was born March 23, 1974 in Portsmouth , OH the son of Kenneth E. Parsons Sr. and Nannie Lee (Vest) Parsons.  He attended schools in Cimarron, KS. 

Kenny was an auto mechanic.  He began his career working at Leonard Tires and then OK Tire both in Dodge City, KS.  He later worked at Details plus also Dodge City, KS.

He was united in marriage to Brenda Stein on February 3, 2000 in Dodge City, KS.  They shared twenty-two years of marriage. 

They moved to Baldwin City, KS in August of 2003.  Kenny worked for Big O Tire in Lawrence, KS and later in the Automotive Department at Walmart in Ottawa, KS.  He recently owned and operated Baldwin Tire in Baldwin City, KS.

Kenny loved music.  He was a drummer in the band, Primary user.  He also loved his family dearly, especially his grandchildren. 

He was preceded in death by a son, Demetrius Johnson on December 31, 2021. 

He is survived by his wife, Brenda Parsons of Baldwin City, KS; son, John Parsons of Dodge City, KS, daughter, Breanna Parsons of Ottawa, KS, daughter, Kendra Parsons of Dodge City, KS, son, Darius Johnson of Topeka, KS; four grandchildren, Kadence, Hunter, Myrius and Rozlynn; parents, Kenneth Parsons Sr. and Nannie “Lee” Parsons of Portsmouth, OH; sister, Donna Terven of Portsmouth, OH; and a niece, Aleesha Myers of Portsmouth, OH.
