Kevin E. Gawith, 68, passed away June 25, 2026 at his home in Ottawa, KS, surrounded by his loved ones.

Kevin was born October 26, 1957, in Salina, KS. Son to James Gawith Sr and Dana Hagen.

Kevin was united in marriage to his soulmate Barb on May 14, 2016.

Kevin was quite the man, When he was not spending time getting on his wife’s last nerve, you could find him in his garage working on his motorcycle or making wonderful gifts for his wife. Kevin loved to fish, ride his motorcycle, and spend time with his grandkids. Kevin was a man of many talents, and he worked various jobs throughout his life.

Kevin is survived by his wife Barbara, of the home, his children Stephanie Gawith of Herington, KS; Jeremy and his wife Jessica Masuch of Ottawa, KS; Pam and her husband Kevin Parsons of Lane, KS; His brothers Marc Gawith, of Phoenix, AZ; Stephen and his wife Sharon Gawith of Salina, KS; Troy and his wfe, Deb Hagen of Abilene, KS; Travis and his wife Tammy Hagen of Solomon, KS; His sisters Connie Gawith of Iowa, LA; Mary albers of Chesterfield, SC; Melanie Hartzell of Harrisburg, PA; and Melissa Johnson of Manhattan, KS. He is also survived by his 23 nieces and nephews, 13 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild and his two beloved fur babies Daisy and Max.

He is preceded in death by his parents, James Gawith Sr and Dana Hagen, His brothers James Gawith Jr, and David Gawith, his brother in law Cletus Hagen, and his sisters Rosie Hagen and Melinda Thomas.
