Linda Kay Stone

Linda Kay (Sanders) Stone, 76, of Baldwin City, Kansas died Thursday, July 17, 2025 at Baldwin Healthcare and Rehab in Baldwin City, Kansas.

She was born July 30, 1948 in Kansas City, Kansas the daughter of James Burch and Frances Breedlove. 

On December 19, 1964, Linda was united in marriage to Calvin Lee Wright, Sr. in Kansas City, Missouri.  They shared 16 years of loving marriage until his passing on November 1, 1981. 

Linda worked as a medication aide at Baldwin City Healthcare and Rehabilitation for 15 years.  She was also a volunteer at Oxford House in Lawrence, KS. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, James Burch and Frances Breedlove; her husband, Calvin Wright, Sr.; a daughter, Sandra Kay Wright; and a brother, Carl Wesley Maples.

She is survived by a daughter, Candy Burenheide of Baldwin City, KS; a son, Calvin Lee Wright II of Overbrook, KS; six grandchildren, Dallas Wright, Kevin Wright, Crystal Wright-Pall, Samantha Wright-Elder, Teresa Billingsley, and Courtney Burenheide; four great-grandchildren, Trinity McClay, Hunter Jones, James Absher, and Elijah Absher; and a sister, Lorna Steelman of Kodiak, AK.

Memorial funeral services will be at a later date at New Life Assembly of God Church, Baldwin City, KS.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Linda Stone Memorial Fund and sent c/o Lamb-Roberts-Price Funeral Home, P.O.
