Maria Ellana Allender

Maria Elanna Allender, age 37 of Pomona, KS, died Thursday August 18, 2022 at K.U. Medical Center, Kansas City, KS. Maria was born on July 22, 1985 in Ottawa, Kansas the daughter of Toby P Aguirre and Jeanette (Schwegman) Aguirre. She was a lifelong resident of Franklin County, and a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Ottawa. Maria graduated from Ottawa High School with the class of 2004.

On June 13, 2014, Maria was united in marriage to Levi Allender in Ottawa, KS.  They just shared their eighth year of loving marriage this June.

Maria worked from 2005 to 2014 at American Eagle Outfitters in Ottawa as a trainer.  She was currently a homemaker for her family.

Maria was a close knit and loving family woman who loved to spend time in nature with her loved ones.   She loved to fish or hunt and always wanted to spend time in the summers camping with family.  She always had a project in the shop to work on and really loved her time spent out there.  She was there for anyone who needed help and never forgot about her friends and family.  She didn’t know a stranger and was always excited to strike up a conversation with someone new.  Most important in her life was her children. She was so happy to be a stay at home mother and care for their needs whenever they needed her.  Her family and children were her life; they will miss her tender and loving way deeply.

Maria survived by her husband Levi Allender, Pomona, KS; son Liam Allender, Pomona, KS; daughter, Katie Allender, Pomona, KS; father, Toby P. Aguirre, Ottawa, KS; Aunt, Virginia Quintana and her significant other, Aaron, Ottawa, KS; two brothers, Toby Aguirre and his wife, Jeffie, Ottawa, Shannon Aguirre and his wife, Tina, Edgerton; niece Makayla Aguirre, Quenemo, KS; nephew, Alex Aguirre, Ottawa, KS; mother-in-law, Carol Allender, Pomona, KS; two sister-in-law, Jessica Hutchinson, Pomona, KS, Jennifer Harwig, Ottawa, KS; and many beloved friends.

She is preceded in death by her mother Jeanette Aguirre and a sister, Jeannie Ann.

Graveside Funeral Services will be 1:00 p.m., Wednesday August 24, 2022 at Evergreen Mound Cemetery, rural Ottawa.  To celebrate Maria’s life, a visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 23, 2002 at Lamb-Roberts-Price Funeral Home, Ottawa.  Memorial contribution may be made out to Maria Allender, Memorial Fund c/o Lamb-Roberts-Price Funeral Home P.O.
