Mary Joyce Boase

Mary Joyce Boase, 71, of Richmond, Kansas passed away Thursday, March 19, 2026 at North Point Skilled Nursing Facility in Paola, Kansas.  She was born August 18, 1954 in Texas. 

She was united in marriage to John Charles Boase Sr. on September 20, 1975.  They shared over fifty years of marriage.

Mary was a clerk at the Palaska Liquor Store in Princeton, Kansas for many years before her retirement in early 2000.

She enjoyed crocheting; traveling; gardening; spending time with her family; and going fishing with her husband, John.  She will be remembered for her cheerful personality and always joking around with her family.

Mrs. Boase was preceded in death by her mother, Francis Yost; a sister, Shirley McMenamin; a brother, Roy Yost; and a grandson, Frank Bradley Jr..

Surviving family includes her husband, John of the home; daughter, Tonya Bradley of Dallas, TX; son, John Boase Jr. and wife, Jaylin of Great Bend, KS; daughter, Angelique Tudor and husband, James of Baltimore. MD; and seven grandchildren, Terry Lynn Purdham and husband James of Garnett, KS, Anthoney Tudor and wife, Rebecca of Baltimore, MD, Morgan Crathers and husband, James of Pendleton, TX, Charles Lucas III and wife, Mikela of KS, and Johnathan and Therin Boase of KS; and twelve great grandchildren, with two on the way.

To Celebrate Mary’s Life, Graveside Services and Interment will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 24, 2026 at the Richmond Cemetery, 2675 Butler Road, Richmond, KS.
