Mary Ann (Mentgen) Brungardt

Mary Ann Brungardt, 86, of Baldwin City, Kansas passed away October 9, 2024, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital, Lawrence, KS.  She was born July 26, 1938, in Salina KS, the daughter of Adolph Henry Mentgen and Jean Dorothy (Haverland) Mentgen.

Mary Ann grew up in Salina graduating from Sacred Heart High School with the class of 1956.  Mary Ann was a wonderful mother and wife who loved to spend her time painting Kansas landscapes and reading, as well as following her children and grandchildren in their academic, athletic, and personal pursuits.

On June 17, 1957, Mary Ann was united in Marriage to Michael John Brungardt of Salina, KS at the Sacred Heart Cathedral, Salina, KS.  They celebrated sixty-one years of marriage together.

Mary Ann is survived by her children; Debbie Stanolis and her husband Joe, of Bay City, MI, Bill Brungardt and his wife, Genene, of Greenwood, MO, Chris Brungardt and his wife Jamie, of Cape Cod, MA, Matt Brungardt of Olathe, KS, Linda Schultz and her husband Scott, of Baldwin City, KS, Mike Brungardt and his wife, Jill, of Baldwin City, KS, ten grandchildren and seven great grandchildren and four siblings.  She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and one brother.

A funeral service will be celebrated Monday October 14, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. at Lamb-Roberts-Price Funeral Home in Baldwin City, KS.  Burial will immediately follow the service at Oakwood Cemetery in Baldwin City, KS.  Family will greet friends for a visitation at Lamb-Roberts-Price Funeral Home, Baldwin City at 9:00 a.m.  Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society sent in c/o Lamb-Roberts-Price Funeral Home, P.O.
