Mary Estelle (Conner) Keller

Mary Estelle Keller, 94, of Overland Park, KS passed away peacefully Tuesday, September 16,
2025, at Advent Health Shawnee Mission in Merriam, KS with her family at her side. She was
born October 12, 1930, in Ottawa, KS, the daughter of Kenneth Conner and Ruth (Eigsti)
Conner.

Mary lived in Ottawa through high school, and then moved to Baldwin, KS and started a family
with her husband, William R. Keller. Mary worked as a Switchboard Operator at United
Telephone Company in the 1950’s and also for Baker University in Baldwin City, KS for many
years. She was a familiar face in the Student Union at the front desk and was well-liked by
students and faculty for her warmth, professionalism, and friendly presence.

She was devoted to her family and friends and always enjoyed spending time with them.
Surviving family includes two sons, Ken Keller of Prairie Village, KS and C.W. Keller and wife,
Sarah of Overland Park, KS; three grandsons, Alex Keller and wife, Sarah of Lee’s Summit,
MO, Matthew Keller of Roland Park, KS and Bryan Edmondson and wife Makenzie of Lee’s
Summit, MO; and two great-grandchildren, Harper and Hadlen.

Cremation is planned, and there will be a private family graveside service at a later date.
