Mitzi Bernardine (Jost) Wallace, 90, of Ottawa, KS died Monday, June 28, 2021 at the Aberdeen Village Health Care Center in Olathe, KS.
She was born January 19, 1931 in Highland, Illinois the daughter of Milton and Jeanne (Diaz) Jost. She graduated from Neosho High School in Neosho, Missouri in 1949. Following graduation, she studied for 2 years at Pittsburg State University. On June 14, 1951, Mitzi was united in marriage to Harold R. Wallace in Neosho, Missouri. They shared 41 years of loving marriage until his passing on April 16, 1993.
She was also preceded in death by her parents, Milton and Jeanne Jost, and a son, Mike Wallace.
She is survived by a son, Terry Wallace and his wife, Kris, of Ottawa, KS; a daughter-in-law, Patty Wallace of Overland Park, KS; 5 granddaughters, Taylor Neiswender and her husband, Ryan, of Ottawa, KS, Jamie Costa and her husband, Cassiano, of Boca Raton, FL, Emilee Harwell and her husband, Ryan, of Overland Park, KS, Katie Murillo and her husband, Josh, of Dallas, TX, and Taylor Wallace of Overland Park, KS; and 10 great-grandchildren: Jack, James, Nate, Blakely, Dalton, Clarke, Campbell, Whit, Leo, and Kai.
To celebrate Mitzi’s life, a memorial funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, July 23, 2021 at Lamb-Roberts-Price Funeral Home, 325 S. Hickory, Ottawa, KS 66067. A visitation will be held prior to the service at 9:00 a.m. at Lamb-Roberts-Price Funeral Home.
