Pamela S. Bowen

Pamela Sue Bowen, 62, passed away on December 22, 2019 at her home in Lane, Kansas. Pamela was born in Terre Haute, Indiana. She was the daughter of John and Linda Armstrong. She worked at Walmart Distribution Center for 12 years. She then left that job to become a homemaker and raised two children. She enjoyed gardening and being outside watching the grandkids play. She always loved being around family, cooking, baking, and canning. Her laugh and smile always made everything better. She will be missed by many. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother to all, it didn't matter if you were family or not, she always made you feel welcomed. There was never a dull moment when it came to her. She was united in marriage with Harry Edward Piper III, they later divorced. She was united in marriage with James Bowen on September 28, 1996, he survives of their home. Other survivors include son Eddie Piper and Danielle Towel of Osage City, KS; daughter Beth and husband Lucas Wiser of Williamsburg, KS; sister Carla Duke of Paris, Illinois, sister Jonnie Armstrong of Houston, Texas; brother Kale Armstrong of Tip City, Ohio; stepmom Sandy Tyler of Paris, Illinois; five grandchildren, Hailey, Abrielle, Alexis, McKinnley, and Ashley. Pamela was preceded in death by her mother Linda Armstrong and grandparents. Family will meet with friends on Friday December 27, 2019 from 6 pm-8 pm at Lamb-Roberts Funeral Home, Ottawa, KS. Funeral services will be Saturday December 28, 2019 at 10:30 am at Lamb-Roberts Funeral Home. Following services interment will be at Highland Cemetery in Ottawa KS.
