Patricia Jackson Obituary

Patricia Ann Jackson, 62, of Quenemo, KS, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 16, 2025 in Topeka, Kansas, surrounded by her loved ones.

She was born January 19, 1963 in Daytona Beach, FL the daughter of Curtis Clements Gordon and Alta Rene VanBenSchoten. She would go on to finish her education by earning her GED.

On May 27, 1996 Patricia Ann was united in marriage to Larry Jackson in Reno, Nevada. The couple shared more than 29 years together and built a life full of love, laughter and family.

Patricia was one of the hardest workers you could ever meet - a mechanic by trade, but truly a woman of endless talents. She was artistic and creative, writing poems and even children's books, designing fashion and crafting quilts for each of her grandchildren. She loved to dance, to watch dirt track racing, attend car shows and listen to classic rock.

Most of all she loved being with her family. Her door was always open, her table always welcoming and her heart always accepting. She had quite the knack for bringing people together with her good food, her laughter and unconditional love.

Patricia will be best remembered for her caring nature and creativity.

She was preceded in death by her father, Curtis “Pappy” Gordon; her sister, Pamela Barnes; both sets of grandparents and many Aunts and Uncle's.

She is survived by her husband, Larry Jackson of Quenemo, Kansas; mother, Alta (VanBenSchoten) Rockwell of Florida; one sister, Debbie Austin of Ottawa, Kansas, two daughters: Felicea Searl and husband Travis of Baldwin City, Kansas and Krisitina McWhorter of Quenemo, Kansas; two sons, Marvin McWhorter III of Mississippi and Earl McWhorter of Quenemo, KS; one uncle, Ben Story of Quenemo, KS; one granddaughter raised as a daughter, Anna Romero; thirteen grandchildren, three great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held on November 1st from 1pm-4pm at 1102 Main St, Baldwin City, KS, 66006.
