Pat took great pride in her community and served it in many ways. She volunteered as a Den Mother for the Cub Scouts and volunteered at Help House. For this and her other tireless efforts to pay it forward, she was honored to have part of Overbrook’s main street renamed “Pat Martin Boulevard.”
Pat was a business owner and helped operate two enterprises in downtown Overbrook - Martin Service and W&W Laundromat. She was a tireless worker whose experience included work at Shirley’s Café and O’Bryhim’s Thriftway in Overbrook. She was a school bus driver, an assistant for Dr. Ruble, and worked in the Café at the Overbrook Sale Barn. She cleaned for the Overbrook Post Office, First Security Bank and Overbrook Library, and delivered papers for The Topeka Capital Journal.
