Paul Charles Rockers, 68, of Lawrence, Kansas passed away on Friday, May 26, 2023 at Lawrence Memorial Hospital, Lawrence, KS, surrounded by family and friends.
He was born May 20, 1955 in Lawrence to Leon Frank Rockers and Mary Lou (Lobingier) Rockers. The oldest of three boys, he grew up in Baldwin City, KS and graduated with the Baldwin High School class of 1973.
Paul was a very proud over-the-road truck driver for over 40 years. He drove for Waller Trucking for the majority of those years. He loved hauling down the highways in his new green truck with his beloved canine companions Spike and Rosa Peanut.
A man of many talents, Paul was a great cook and loved to tend to his gardens of vegetables and flowers.
Paul is survived by his two brothers, Dana Rockers and his wife, Tracy, of Baldwin City, KS, and Mark Rockers and his wife, Siobhan, of Mesa, Arizona; five nephews, Tucker Rockers, Cameron Bryant, Zachary Rockers, Christopher Rockers, and Dawson Rockers; and two nieces, Brenna Kaufman and Jennifer Peterson.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and two uncles, Daryl Rockers and Vernon Rockers.
Cremation services were selected. Inurnment will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, July 1, 2023 at Mount Calvary Cemetery, Baldwin City, KS. Immediately following the committal service will be a Celebration of Life service at American Legion Post 228, 803 High St., Baldwin City, KS. In lieu of flowers, his family requests memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society and sent in care of Lamb-Roberts-Price Funeral Home, P.O. Box 64, Baldwin City, KS, 66006.
