Ralph Fritz

Ralph Fritz, 86, of Overbrook, formerly of Olathe, KS passed away January 12, 2015 at Brookside Retirement Community in Overbrook. Ralph was born May 31, 1928 in Leavenworth, Kansas, the son of Edward Fritz and Mary (Schroeder) Fritz. Ralph graduated from Leavenworth High School with the class of 1946. After graduating he joined the Army. Ralph was a communications director, serving during the Korean War. After his time in the service he returned to the Kansas City area. He joined the work force at Midwest Research Institute in Kansas City, Missouri as a research analyst. Ralph retired after 25 years in 2000. He was a member of the Brookside Veterans Organization. Ralph was united in marriage with Carol Sue Viets, on March 16, 1970 in Missouri. She precedes him, passing on January 7, 2015. Ralph is also preceded in passing by his parents; two brothers Harold and Charles; and a sister, Dorothy. Ralph is survived by two sons, Brian Fritz of Martindale, TX and Joel Fritz of Overland Park, KS; and grandchildren, Aaron, Miles, Olivia and Ethan.
