Rita Lou Habagger, 73, of Quenemo, Kansas died Thursday, April 3, 2025 at her home.
She was born June 27, 1951 in Wichita, KS the daughter of Dwain Saffle and Peggy L. (Denton) Riggin. She grew up in Wichita, KS graduating from Wichita South High School with the class of 1969. She later lived in Burlingame, Albuquerque, NM, Topeka and eventually settled in Quenemo, KS.
Rita worked for Osage Products and later at Southwestern Bell as a Customer Service Representative for over 17 years, until she retired.
Rita was a member of the Citizen Potawatomi Nation.
On February 10, 1971, Rita Lou was united in marriage to Roy Habegger. They shared forty-three years of loving marriage until the death of Roy in 2014.
She was also preceded in death by her parents, Dwain Saffle and Peggy L. Riggin; her son, Scott Habegger; and a sister, Sherryl Moody.
She is survived by her brother, Kevin Saffle(Karla), Quenemo, KS; two sisters, Janet Herren, Wichita, KS, Pam Saffle-Hernandez(Ismael), St. George, KS; sister-in-law, Darlene Hailey, Goff, KS; an aunt, Shirley Alley, Rossville, KS, an uncle, Dean Denton, Bartlesville, OK and numerous nieces and nephews.
Graveside funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Friday, April 11, 2025 at Burlingame Cemetery at the Ramskill Chapel. Family will greet friends for a visitation from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Lamb-Roberts-Price Funeral Home, Burlingame, KS.
