Obituary for Robert Dewayne Avery
Robert Dewayne Avery, 62, of Baldwin City, Kansas passed away Wednesday, June 17, 2020 at the Baldwin Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center in Baldwin City, KS.
He was born February 18, 1958 in Fort Scott, KS, the son of Earl Dewayne Avery and Mary Bernice (Secrest) Avery. He graduated from high school in Pleasanton, KS with the class of 1976.
Robert was a cabinet maker by trade and very handy at woodworking. At one time, he enjoyed hunting birds. But, his favorite hobby was riding Harley-Davidson motorcycles.
Robert is survived by a son, Michael Arron Avery, Ottawa, KS and a brother, Harry Avery, Baldwin City, KS.
He is preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Ronald Secrest Avery and Michael Earl Avery.
The family has chosen cremation services and will hold a private ceremony at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and sent c/o Lamb-Roberts Funeral Home, P.O. Box 64, Baldwin City, KS 66006.
