Rosalind Perdue

     Rosalind Joy Rappard Perdue was born October 8, 1953 in Ottawa, Kansas, and passed away December 5, 2022 in Overland Park, Kansas at the age of 69.  She attended Marion Springs Elementary School, Baldwin High School,and graduated in 1971 from Ottawa High School. 

     She worked at the University of Kansas Education Department Administrative Office, Registrar’s Office, Watson Library, and the KU Academic Computer Center and the Kansas Dept of SRS.  Her longevity performance record with the State of Kansas was unparalleled, totaling 40 years at KU and SRS.  She later worked for the Prudential Life Insurance Agency. 

      She was a member of the Worden EUB Church for many years.  In later years she attended Kaw Prairie Church, Lenexa, KS and Church of the Resurrection in Overland Park, KS.  She especially enjoyed her Women’s Bible Study group at Kaw Prairie Church.  She loved music and played piano.     

     She was predeceased by her parents, Donald and Eldred Rappard, and her son, Stephen Bradley Perdue.  She is survived by her sisters, Miriam Ferguson, Ottawa, KS  and Julie Brenneman, Overland Park , KS and brother, Gary Rappard, Overland Park, KS.  

     A Celebration Service of Life will be held 2:00 p.m., Saturday, April 1, 2023 at Lamb-Roberts-Price Funeral Home, 325 S. Hickory St., Ottawa, KS.  Memorial contributions may be made to Miracle of Innocence and sent in care of Lamb-Roberts-Price Funeral Home, P.O. Box 14, Ottawa, KS 66067.
