Samuel Glenn Conley, III known to his friends and family as Bo Conley, 66, of Branson, MO died Monday, August 15, 2022 at his sister’s residence in Baldwin City, KS.
He was born March 25, 1956 in Fort Benning, GA the son of Samuel Glenn Conley, Jr. and Kathryn (Norris) Conley. Bo grew up in a military family moving several times during his youth. He graduated from Herndon High School, Herndon, VA with the class of 1974. He then attended Kansas State University with a Bachelor of Science degree and the Baker University with a Master’s in Business Administration.
Bo began working for S.C. Johnson in Racine, WI as a scientist working there for nearly thirty years moving up to Vice President of Research and Development and retiring from the company as the Director of Product Innovation. He was blessed during his career there to have been part of the development and creation of products such as Glade and Scrubbing Bubbles.
Bo was a very active professional during his work career, but he still enjoyed fishing when he found the time, especially fly fishing. He was a big N.F.L. football fan and was always cheering for the Chiefs, Bears, or Broncos. He also loved attending the annual Racine, WI Yacht Club Regatta.
He was preceded in death by his father Samuel Glenn Conley, Jr. and two brothers, Billy Conley and Chris Conley.
Bo is survived by his mother, Kathryn Conley, Lawrence, KS; four sons, Nathan Conley, Independence, MO, Nicholas Conley, Independence, MO, Joseph Conley, Branson, MO, Jon Conley, Branson, MO; two sisters, Bambi Andrews, Baldwin City, KS, Rebecca Conley, Mission, KS; and a brother, Cliff Conley, Ottawa, KS.
