Sheryl Fredricks Obituary

Sheryl Marie Fredricks, 80, of Williamsburg, KS passed away Wednesday, December 1, 2021 at her home.

She was born July 9, 1941 in Ottawa, KS, Louie W. McBride and Hazel (Roush) McBride.  Sheryl was a lifelong Franklin County resident, living primarily in the Princeton area in her youth where she attended Princeton High School.  She later lived the remainder of her life in the Williamsburg area.

Sheryl was a Lay away Clerk and Cashier for F.W. Woolworth in Ottawa and then later a cashier for Wal-Mart, working at the Ottawa Wal-Mart for over 20 years until her retirement in 2007.

On June 9, 1957, Sheryl was united in marriage to Chester D. Fredricks at Princeton Methodist Church.  They just celebrated their sixty-fourth year of loving marriage.

Sheryl was a member of the 15th Street Church of Christ, Ottawa, Loyal Neighbors E.H.U., and volunteered for many hours over her life at the Franklin County Cancer Foundation.  Sheryl loved her job and seeing so many friends while at work and she loved volunteering in the community when able, but most important to her was her family.  Family always came first for Sheryl, every one of her grandchildren and great grandchildren where extra special to her and they all knew it in how she treated them.

Sheryl is survived by her husband, Chester Fredricks, Williamsburg, KS; son, Chester Fredricks, Jr. and his wife, Brenda, Williamsburg, KS; two daughters, Justine Marie Fine, Williamsburg, KS, Michelle Renee Randall and her husband, James, Pomona, KS; eight grandchildren, Cole A. Fredricks and his wife, Kayley, Jill Nitzsche and her husband, Matt, Alisha Stroup and her husband, Caleb, Kendra Guyett and her husband, Jacob, Brooke Meiers and her husband, Wayland, Kirstie LaFikes and her husband, James, Amy Fine and her fiancée, Sam, Nathan Fine and is wife, Cortney; sixteen great grandchildren, Braxton Guyett, Kylee Guyett, Kord Stroup, Rylie Stroup, Kaden Meiers, Kati Meiers, Paisley Fredricks, Case Fredricks, Hayley Fredricks, Mariah Fredricks, Elsie Nitzsche, Reid Nitzsche, Coen Fredricks, Hank Fredricks, Cason Stroup, Gus Nitzsche; and one great-great granddaughter, May Ella Young.

She is preceded in death by her parents; three siblings, David L McBride, William D. McBride, and Maxine Gorton; and a grandson, Chet M. Fredricks.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Monday, December 6, 2021 at Lamb-Roberts-Price Funeral Home, Ottawa, KS. Burial will follow at Antioch Cemetery, Ottawa, KS.  The family will meet with friends from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., Sunday, December, 5, 2021 t Lamb-Roberts-Price Funeral Home.  Memorial contributions may be made to 15th Street Church of Christ or Franklin County Cancer Foundation and sent c/o Lamb-Roberts-Price Funeral Home, P.O.
