Stella P. McAuley

Stella P. McAuley, age 78, of Ottawa, KS, passed away September 15, 2020, at her home.  She was born November 4, 1941 in Filer, ID the only daughter of Rolla Glenwood and Ruby Pearl Opal Pearson. 

Stella eventually moved to Kansas with her family in her youth and graduated from Wellsville High School with the class of 1959.   She lived in Ottawa, KS until 1972 when she moved to Washington state before moving back to Ottawa in 2007.

On January 9, 1960, Stella was united in marriage to Leonard McAuley in Ottawa, KS.  They shared sixty years of loving marriage.

Stella was a Payroll clerk for Bennett Lumber Company in Clarkston, WA for many years.

In her free time Stella loved to paint her oil paints.  She also spent many hours on the Oregon Coast with Leonard hunting for rocks.  They were rock hounds most of all their time together.  They loved spending time together, but that was their favorite pastime of all.

She is survived by her husband, Leonard McAuley, Ottawa, KS; daughter Leona Pearl McAuley, Ottawa, KS; son Rolla Joe McAuley, Spokane, WA; and two granddaughters, Ashley Green, Spokane, WA, Clarissa McAuley, Spokane, WA.

Stella is preceded in death by her parents.
