Stephani Ann Guerrero, 53, of Baldwin City, KS passed away unexpectedly Thursday, November 2, 2023 at her home. She was born August 31, 1970 in Phoenix, AZ the daughter of Perry Fletcher and JoAnn (Pickering) Mejia. She attended schools in Globe, AZ graduating from Globe High School with the Class of 1988.
Stephani was a Supervisor for over ten years at Castle Creations in Olathe, KS and most recently worked in manufacturing in Wellsville, KS.
Stephani loved to read, enjoyed nature and the outdoors, and caring for her beloved dogs, June Bug, Mable and Polly. She also loved spending time with her family especially caring for her grandson, Kade. She loved the occasions of having all of her children together. This really meant the world to her. Stephani will be remembered for her great sense of humor, being bright and witty, and being known to many of her son’s friends as Mom.
Surviving family includes her father, Perry Fletcher and his wife, Elaine of Baldwin City, KS; her mother, JoAnn Mejia and her husband, Felix of Show Low, AZ ; a son, Austin Chavez and wife, Adrianne of Ottawa, KS; three daughters, Ceara Jaid Corona and husband, Andrew of Morenci, AZ, Kelsi Ann Aguilar and husband, Alexander of Clifton, AZ and Christine Francis and husband, John of Rehoboth, MA; two sisters, Jennifer Ruth and partner, Nick of Kansas City, KS and Perri Goikovich and husband, Ron of Sierra Vista, AZ; nine grandchildren, soon to be ten; and her nieces and nephew.
A Celebration of Stephani’s Life will be held from 5 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Thursday, November 9, 2023 at the Ottawa Recreation Center Goppert Building, 705 W. 15th Street, Ottawa, KS 66067. The family asks that family and friends wear their Kansas University attire or something bright in honor of Stephani.
