Steven Gray

Steven Gray, 29, of Carbondale, KS died Tuesday, July 20, 2021 at his home.

He was born March 15, 1992 in Paragould, AR, the son of Charles Gray and Kathy (Urban) Adams.  Steven moved at the age of three with his family to Carbondale, KS and has lived there ever since.  He was a class of 2012 graduate of the Kansas School for the Deaf, Olathe, KS. 

Steven was a warehouse and shipping loader in his professional life.  For the past three years he was proud to be working at the Home Depot Distribution Center, Topeka, KS.

Steven was well known with his friends and family to be a work-out warrior.  He loved lifting weights and being physically fit.  He was always excited to work with his tools.  Remodeling his house was probably his favorite way to be able to get his tools out.  He was always happy when there was a project to work on.  Of all of the things in Steven’s life most important was his son, Domiquez.  He loved spending quality time with him and was always excited to play with his son.

On February 20, 2016 Steven was united in marriage to Kendra Raposo. 

Steven was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Cecil and Nancy Urban.

He is survived by his son, Domiquez Gray, Carbondale, KS; father Charles Gray and his wife, Ligaya, Carbondale, KS; mother, Kathy Adams and her husband, Colin, Carbondale, KS; three siblings, Josh Gray, Virginia Beach, VA, Heather Gray, Osage City, KS, Gabriel Gray, Carbondale, KS; paternal grandparents, Harold Wayne Gray and Paulette Gray, Paragould, AR.

To celebrate Steven’s life, funeral services will be 3:00 p.m., Saturday July 31, 2021 at Grace Chapel, Carbondale. Interment will follow at St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Scranton, KS.   The family will meet with friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday July 30, 2021 at Lamb-Roberts-Price Funeral Home, Overbrook   Memorial contributions may be made to Steven Gray memorial Fund and sent c/o Lamb-Roberts-Price Funeral Home, P.O.
