Terri Elaine (Kepple) Ellis,

Terri passed peacefully from this life on March 15, 2025.  She was born March 3, 1947 to Max and Theda (Holmes) Kepple, spending her entire life in the Baldwin/Vinland area.  She was raised and baptized in the Church of Christ in Vinland, Ks.

Her education included 8 years at Vinland Elementary school and 4 years at Baldwin High School graduating with the class of 1965.   She also attended Independence Community College in Independence, Ks., and later graduated from Baker University in Baldwin City, Ks.

She married Paul Ellis in July of 1969.  Terri and Paul were united in marriage at Vinland Church of Christ, a union that lasted 44 years until Paul passed away.  To this marriage 3 boys were born; Shawn, Ryan, and Jason Ellis.  In due time four grandchildren were born; Mackenzie (Adam) Watson; Paige Ellis who are children of Shawn Ellis, and Isla and Simon Ellis, children of Jason (Rebecca) Ellis.

For many years Terri and Paul owned a meat processing plant called The Baldwin Lockers until selling the business.  Most of Terri’s working years were spent at Baker University in several departments until she retired.

Preceding her in death include her parents Max and Theda Kepple; husband Paul Ellis; and infant brother Christopher.  Surviving family members include her three sons, her sister Audrey (Jeff) Walter of Los Lunas, New Mexico; and her brother Todd Kepple of Klamath Falls, Oregon.

She will be greatly missed by her family, extended family and friends.
