Victoria Visitacion Obituary

Victoria Visitacion, age 93, of Ottawa, KS passed away on November 1, 2025 at Rock Creek of Ottawa.  Victoria was born May 2, 1932 in Lipay, Vintar Ilocos Norte, Philippines.  She is the daughter of Julían Vea and Victora (Margarin) Vea.

Victoria grew up in the Philippines.  She went to Bago Elementary.  Reading and spelling classes were her best.  She participated in dance programs and her favorite childhood memory was playing softball.

On August 4, 1954, Victoria married the love of her life, Tony Visitacion in Lipay, Vintar, Ilocos Norte, Philippines.  He preceded her in death March 12, 2023.  They had 6 children: Nemecio (Connie) Visitacion, Ottawa, KS; Elvira (Fidel) Tampon, Honolulu, HI; Armando (Nicole) Visitacion, Camarillo, CA; Mariza (Billy) Lulo, West Covina, CA; Edna (Alvaro) Moreno, Las Vegas, NV; and Nestor Visitacion who died as an infant.  The Visitacion legacy lives on with 14 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren and many extended family members.

In the Philippines, Victoria stayed at home to raise her children and babysat.  She would buy perfume, soap, and tea to resale at a profit.  When the family moved to Honolulu, Hawaii, she was a paraprofessional for many years at Kalihi Waena Elementary School.  She enjoyed attending mass on Sundays with her family.  She believed in the Heavenly Father and kept a Bible and prayer book by her bed.  Her favorite flower was red roses with white or yellow lilies.  Victoria and Tony loved to sit and watch The Price is Right on TV.  Victoria’s best advice to the younger generation is to respect your elders and visit them, stay in contact.

Victoria is preceded in death by her husband, Tony Visitacion; a son, Nestor Visitacion; her parents and her siblings, Elpidio, Nicomedes, Rafael, Maxima, Genara, Martina, and Julia.

Victoria will be reunited with her husband and their urns kept in Ottawa, KS.  The family intends to return Victoria and Tony to Hawaii where services will be conducted at Valley of the Temple, Honolulu, HI on August 4, 2027 on their 73rd wedding anniversary.
