Waneta Thompson Obituary
Waneta Jean (Peg) Thompson, age 89, of Overbrook, KS, passed away, September 13, 2020 at Brookside Manor, Overbrook. She was born March 18, 1931 at Elm Grove, KS east of Ottawa, the only daughter of Robert Harvey Underwood and Daisy May (Brown) Underwood. Peg grew up in the Ottawa area and graduated from Princeton High School with the class of 1949.
On May 27, 1950, Peg was united in marriage to Robert Earl Thompson in Kansas City, KS. They lovingly were spent their live together until the death of Robert on January 19, 1999.
She is also preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Cynthia Lee Wilcox; and a granddaughter, Niccole Ray Thompson.
Peg is survived by four sons, Tommy Thompson and his wife, Oma, Ottawa, KS, Robert Thompson and his wife, Mary, Ottawa, KS, James Thompson, Osage City, KS, John Thompson, Osage City, KS; son-n-law Carl Wilcox, St. Louis, MO; five grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.
