Wesley Marvin Crain, Sr., 81, of Baldwin City, KS passed away April 1, 2023 at his home with his family by his side.
Wesley was born September 11, 1941 in Camden, MO, the son of Thelma Marie Tapp and John Wesley Crain.
Wesley graduated from Olathe High School, Olathe, KS with the class of 1959. In his youth he was a much decorated baseball player for Olathe.
Wesley was a foreman for Delphi Automotive Battery Plant until his retirement.
On November 18, 2006 Wesley was united in marriage to Beverly J. Heck in Olathe, KS.
He was preceded in death by his mother and a sister Barbara Burrow.
Wesley is survived by his wife, Beverly Crain of Baldwin City, KS; two sons, Gary L. Crain, Tennessee, Wesley M. Crain, Jr, Overland Park, KS; daughter, Debra Crain, Topeka, KS; sister, Venita Barnett, Olathe, KS; two step sons, James Campbell, Baldwin City, KS, Shawn Campbell, Lawrence, KS; six grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.
Celebration of Life funeral services will be 6:00 p.m., Friday, April 21, 2023 at Anointed House of Glory, Church of God, 13423 Charlotte Road, Kansas City, Missouri. The family suggests in lieu of flowers, that memorial donations be made to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation and sent c/o Lamb-Roberts-Price Funeral Home, P.O.
