Whitney Faye Burgoon, age 28, of Baldwin City, KS, formerly of Ottawa, KS, passed away September 22, 2019, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital, Lawrence, KS. She was born June 11, 1991 at Ransom Memorial Hospital, Ottawa, KS, the daughter of Tim Burgoon and Melissa (Ralston) Bonzo. Whitney grew up in Ottawa moving to Baldwin City in 2014. Whitney was a cheerful fun loving person with beautiful eyes who would do anything to help anyone in need. Whitney spent many hours on her phone having fun with her snapchat filters. She loved to shop for antiques and loved her dogs, Jo-Jo and Adira, dearly. She had an old soul and was always easy to talk to. She could light up a room when she came in but she never left the house without taking the time to get ready. She always had to look good before she went out. She loved her family with all her heart and always cherished her time spent with her family. Whitney is survived by her mother Melissa Bonzo and her husband, Gary, Ottawa; her father , Tim Burgoon and his wife, Angela, Ottawa; sister, Courtney Burgoon, Lawrence, KS; brother, Brett Burgoon, Ottawa; sister, Brandy McHenry and Dave and Sandy, Baldwin City; nieces and nephews, Oakleigh, Avery, Quaid, Kasen; and a boyfriend, Curtis Miller, Baldwin City as well as his mother Billie Davidson. She is preceded in death by her infant son, Abel Dean Slocum. A Celebration of Life is scheduled from 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m., Saturday October 5, 2019 at Lamb-Roberts Funeral Home, Ottawa.
