Obituary
William Arthur Rowan, 76, of Ottawa, KS died Monday, August 7, 2023 at the Olathe Hospice House in Olathe, Kansas.
He was born February 4, 1947 in Buffalo, Kansas the son of Everett Raliegh and Opalena (Croun) Rowan. He graduated with his GED from Glasgow, Montana, and went on to obtain his Auctioneer Degree.
On August 24, 1969, William was united in marriage to Nora A. Christiansen. They shared 51 loving years of marriage before her passing on July 18, 2021.
William worked as a truck driver for Long Haul. He was also a gunsmith, welder, and auto mechanic. He enjoyed woodworking, camping, hunting, and fishing. He lived a great life of many adventures, and was an amazing storyteller.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Everett and Opalena Rowan; his wife, Nora Rowan; two brothers, Harold Edward Rowan and Everett Rowan; and two half-sisters, Anita and Gladys.
He is survived by a son, Dennis Rowan of El Dorado Springs, MO; two daughters, Tammy Gloodt and her husband, William, of El Dorado Springs, MO, and Consuelo Hatfield and her husband, Daniel, of Minnesota; 9 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
