Woodrow Anderson

Woodrow Norvel “Woody” Anderson, Jr., 68, of Wellsville, KS died Tuesday, September 21, 2021 at Advent Health, Ottawa, KS..

He was born May 2, 1953 in Kansas City, MO the son of Woodrow Norvel Anderson, Sr. and Norma Jean (Gattenby) Anderson.  He grew up in the Overland Park, KS area graduating from Shawnee Mission South High School with the class of 1971.  He later graduated from the University of Kansas with a Bachelor of Arts in software engineering. 

Woody was a software developer for Sprint, Overland Park, KS from 1998 until his retirement 2014.  Following his retirement he became a full-time farmer on his family farm in Wellsville.  It was a very active retirement.

On July 2, 1983 Woody was united in marriage to Pam Anderson in Leawood, KS. 

He is preceded in death by his father, Woodrow Anderson, Sr.

Woody is survived by his wife, Pam Anderson, Wellsville, KS; mother, Norma Jean Anderson, Overland Park, KS; brother, Mark Anderson, Overland Park, KS; and two sisters, Melanie Anderson, Tulsa, OK, and Melissa Anderson, Wellsville, KS.
